The Pennington Signature Series Turf-Type Tall Fescue Blend is a cool-season high-quality grass seed that provides excellent disease resistance. It features MYCO coated seed for ultimate seedling protection, plus a combination of 3 elite tall fescue mixture: Justice, Rebel Exeda and Penn1901 which offers denser turf for improved sod production and greener color. These varieties are fine-textured, sufficiently low growing and persistent which is great for home lawns, parks, athletic fields, golf course, roughs, and sod production. It promotes low maintenance of turf, plus it ensures resistance to wear and diseases like Net Blotch, Brown Patch, and Fusarium Patch. It also has a high tolerance even with the toughest environmental conditions, heavy traffic, and low water input. It also provides superb performance in the transition zone. Available in 50 lb. bag.

ESTABLISHMENT:
Sow in sun or shade in spring or fall. Mid-summer sowing is not recommended except for areas of dense shade that can be well watered. Lime soil to 5.5 – 6.0 pH and follow soil test recommendations for fertilization. Maintain adequate soil moisture for proper germination. Under ideal conditions, germination may begin in as few as 9 days. Full germination may take up to 21 days. First mowing is suggested when plants reach approximately 2 inches. (7.5 cm).
MAINTENANCE:
Best when managed at 2.5 inches, though will tolerate lower heights.
