Clearcast Aquatic Herbicide controls many different species of floating, emergent and shoreline weeds. This product controls the entire plant, including the root system. Plants will stop growing within 24 hours and slowing will breakdown. Clearcast can be applied to many aquatic sites, including golf course ponds, ditches, lakes, reservoirs, wetlands, estuarine and marine sites, marshes, bayous, arroyos, swamps, canals, streams, rivers, creeks, and other slow moving or still bodies of water. It may also be applied to non crop sites to control terrestrial and riparian vegetation. Clearcast is a great option because it is non toxic to most aquatic species and has flexible application. Clearcast has many different options for application - by a sprayer, drawback, surface, or aerial. Must be used with a non ionic surfactant if applied with a sprayer.

If applying with a sprayer, Clearcast MUST be used with a non ionic surfactant or a methylated seed oil or vegetable based seed oil concentrate. For a surfactant, select one with a HLB ( hydrophilic to lipophilic balance) ratio between 12 and 17 with at least 70% surfactant in the formulated product. When spray volumes are greater than 30 gallons, it should be mixed with 1% of the total spray volume. May also be applied by aerial - no minimum spray volume when making applications directly to the water. For applications on emergent or floating vegetation, apply with 5 or more gallons of water per surface acre. Minimum of 20 gallons per acre. Can also be applied by drawdown application- for postemergence and/or preemergence control/suppression of aquatic vegetation. Broadcast spray- up to 64 fl ozs per acre or as a spot spray treatment with up to 5% Clearcast by volume. Refer to product label for more information. |
