Charger Basic Herbicide is a powerful formula that provides long-lasting and broad-spectrum control of annual grasses, broadleaf weeds, and sedges in corn, cotton, soybeans and a wide variety of crops. It contains the highly active ingredient s-metolachlor which is effective against nuisance weeds such as barnyardgrass, bristly foxtail, crabgrass, fall panicum, foxtail millet, giant foxtail, goosegrass, red rice, signalgrass, yellow foxtail, yellow nutsedge, carpetweed, galinsoga, pigweed, tropical spiderwort, and more. It works excellently as a seedling shoot inhibitor, plus it offers a versatile application option to let you meet production requirements accordingly. This liquid formulation may be applied preemergence, early preplant, preplant incorporated, and post-emergence in some crops. Product can be applied alone but can be combined with other preemergent herbicides for a broader spectrum of control and long-lasting protection against weeds. Available in a 2.5-gal jug.

Application Timing:
CHARGER BASIC alone or in some tank mixtures with other labeled herbicides may be applied for weed control in certain crops at various times. Refer to the given crop section of the label to determine if application timings listed below are recommended.
Special Application Procedures:
Ground Application: Apply CHARGER BASIC alone or in tank mixtures by ground equipment in a minimum of 10 gals. of spray mixture per acre, unless otherwise specified.
Use sprayers that provide accurate and uniform application. For CHARGER BASIC tank mixtures with wettable powder or dry flowable formulations, screens and strainers should be no finer than 50-mesh. Rinse sprayer thoroughly with clean water immediately after use.

Grasses: Barnyardgrass (watergrass), bristly foxtail, crabgrass, crowfootgrass, fall panicum, foxtail millet, giant foxtail, goosegrass, green foxtail, prairie cupgrass, red rice, robust foxtails (purple,white), signalgrass (Brachiaria), southwestern cupgrass, wild proso millet*, witchgrass, woolly cupgrass*, yellow foxtail.
Sedges: Yellow nutsedge
Broadleaf weeds: Carpetweed, common waterhemp, Florida pusley, galinsoga, pigweed, Powell amaranth, Palmer pigweed, tall waterhemp, tropical spiderwort.
*For control of these weeds in corn only, refer to the Corn - Woolly Cupgrass and Wild Proso Millet Control Program section of this label.
Weeds Partially Controlled*: common purslane, eclipta, Florida beggarweed**, hairy nightshade, sandbur, seedling johnsongrass, shattercane, Texas panicum***, volunteer sorghum, wild proso millet, and woolly cupgrass. *See General Information section. Control of these weeds can be erratic, due partially to variable weather conditions. Control may be improved by following these suggested procedures:
