Product Overview

The Vector Optima Fly Light is a discreet, easy-to-use fly light with a covered catch area.  It is simple to install with the included mounting hardware.  One glueboard and one 15 watt shatterproof bulb are also included.  For best results, change the glueboard monthly, or sooner if it becomes full.  Bulbs should be replaced every 6-12 months.

Installation Recommendations

  • Place 3’-5’ above the floor for most flying insects
  • Should not be installed above open food or preparation areas
  • Place traps as close to likely breeding sites as possible, such as garbage and food storage areas
  • Avoid placement that directs light out doorways or passageways. Ideally, the light from the trap should not be visible from outside the room in which it is placed.

Maintenance Practices

  • Glue boards should be changed monthly.
  • Bulbs should be replaced every 6 to 12 months. Replacement should take place at the beginning of the season, typically in the spring.
